The name S*Dovienya was approved by SVERAK (Fifé) in April 2009. The name Dovienya is inspired from the world Robert Jordan created in The Wheel of Time. The word dovienya means luck in the language "old tongue" that Jordan created. My name is Emmi Kytölä and I reside in a place called Skogås just outside of Stockholm.
My plans are to breed Somali in my home in a small scale. I want to focus first and foremost on temperament and health, and secondly on looks. But if I can get it all to go hand in hand that will of course be the goal for me.
My first cat was a domestic cat called Zelda. When I started looking for a second cat I early on decided it would be a pure breed cat and I started looking around. I finally fell for the most beautiful breed I ever saw, Somali. And with their little wild and crazy temperament I was hooked. Somali is not a breed for everyone, but for me it was the right one.
My first Somali queen, S*Anshara Zmilla Dawnika was not my cat from the beginning, since S*Anshara was suppose to have one litter with her before she would be mine. But we decided to own her together, and get the first litter together under my breeding name. You can read about our plans in the kitten section and I will be updating the news section whenever something worth mentioning happens.
